I personally never understood what the value was in bringing up the fact that a capper is on fire or on a recent winning streak? What capper doesn't go on a winning streak at times? Either someone is a winner long term or they aren't, nothing else matters. The only value may be in fading them as you surely aren't going to ride a guy that is 30-10 in his last 40 are you??? Again, not unless he is someone who does well historically.
The number one reason that 90% of touts exist is because of this type of advertising. If they were required to keep honest records for lengthy periods of times most would be out of business.
This post insn't meant specifically for hebrew or even about ness. I just get a chuckle everytime I see someone say....."we need so and so....he is on fire". Chasing winning streaks will get you killed. At best you should fade a mediocre capper when they are hot but even that is not advisable.
Anyone care to give one GOOD reason that anyone should ever care about what kind of run someone is on????
HISTORICAL NUMBERS ONLY and based on more than one season is the only thing worth looking at if you are really using the info to make a decision of a play or pass.

It seems logical that if a guy is 55% historically and then goes 7-0, then that would not be a good time to jump in with both feet.

Not saying it's a great idea to jump on a guy who has 7 straight but IMO it makes sense for touts to put in their maximum effort while they are building a hot streak. Most people buy touts when they see they are hot so it is to their benefit to work hard to continue to pick correctly to suck in as much money as possible before they return to 50%.

do you really think a service puts more effort into some plays than others? :):)
We are all human. I put the same amount of effort in every day. If I do get on a huge run I still go through the same numbers everyday and I post the plays that fit what I am looking for.

Fade

The guy is a .500 tout at best and counts all close games as either Wins or pushes. Perfect time to fade this fake, who used to be more reputable.

But most people buy new touts when they are on a hot streak. As a result, a new tout would prefer to hit 7 in a row to generate publicity than hit 60% for 30 plays. I am of the belief that you are more likely to pick winners if you put in the time. Therefore, I believe a tout should/will spend more time finding winners during a hot streak than during a cold streak and should produce better results. This mostly applies to unknown cappers who people decide to try out after seeing their strong run.

G'town

Well as we start this discussion today, Larry has already lost his first play on Georgetown. I figure I'll track him for the rest of the tourney championships from today till Sunday's selection show. My feeling is he will be sub .500 but we'll see.

I ALWAYS GET A GOOD LAUGH EVERYDAY GLANCING @ ALL THESE WEBSITES W / DOZENS OF CAPPERS ONE AFTER ANOTHER ONLY ADVERTISING RUNS & STREAKS....:think2:... "NBA SIDES RUN" , " SOLID NBA TOTALS RUN ", " INSANE CBB RUN". ETC ETC ETC . THAT'S ALL THEY CAN PRINT BECAUSE IF THEY POSTED THEIR YEARLY / SEASONAL #'S THEY WOULDNT MAKE VERY MANY SALES ???. LARRY NESS IS ON THE TOP OF THE "HIDE MY LONG TERM #'S LIST ". IT IS A VERY LONG LIST .

TOO ALL THE CAPPERS WHO PUBLISH THEIR LONGTERM #'S OR ARE DOCUMENTED BY SPORTSWATCH OR OKLA CITY ...:toast:

WHEN A CAPPER IS ON A REAL SOLID FAIRLY LONG HOT RUN IT IS USUALLY TIME TO STAY AWAY OR @ LEAST WAIT UNTIL HE COOLS OFF & THEN WAIT FOR THE PENDULUM TO SWING BACK . IF HE ACTUALLY IS CAPPING HIS RELEASES. ?

YOU COULDN'T PAY ME TO FOLLLOW NESS........

youre pathetic.. if you dont like the guy. dont follow him. His legend plays have payed out well and so do his big time plays, like his 25 unit plays. This forum is nothing but a group of no-sayers. All in all, colelctively as a group, this forum has run off a bunchof great posters and cappers. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK CHIP.

Buy

Just to inform everyone. This is his free pick. Does anyone out there have any of his paid plays? action starts at 12pm.

Then why don't you start buying them instead of always requesting them if he is so good.

Don't post a reply to something just to post it.. especially if you don't have your facts straight.. Larry Ness is actually honest with his records.. and does not post every close game as a loss or push.. and he is a lot better then the sub .500 you've mentioned.. on top of that a lot better then some of these touts posted at therx.. your acting like you don't play his LEGEND or 25* plays..

And I stand by that.. I've followed Larry Ness for 3+ years now.. there must be a reason I'm still in the business of gambling on sports.. take your piggy bank and go follow some other touts chump..

Pathetic?

Why am I pathetic? Because I don't agree with you on this particular handicapper. He has his runs but I personally feel he has been no better than .500 this basketball season. I used to follow him but I've seen him go down hill. That's my opinion. No reason for me to be considered pathetic though. Not sure what a no-sayer is but OK.

Also, noone can run off handicappers from this forum. It's not like the individuals threads where they can be run off by comments. This is the service play thread. People post what they find or buy. IF he was so good, you would have bought his plays when not posted. Yet all you do is request them, which is fine.

Anyway, if it's any consolation, I faded his St. Louis play by playing LaSalle to beat them again...as they did on the road Saturday, 68-62.

I may win or I may lose but I put my money where my mouth was and faded St Louis. I'm sure if LaSalle loses, you'll call me pathetic but I made the play I thought would win.

In your words, keep up the good work.

THIS year

I said I respected Ness in prior years. I just feel he is having an off year and I think he's just hitting about .500 from what I've seen. I have also noticed numerous times that the public lost on his plays and he posted them as a push THIS year. I even questioned Covers on that and they agreed with me, said they would refund any of those situations that he posted those games as pushes as they felt most lost on them.

3 and 2 years ago, he seemed a bit better. This year, from what I've seen, not to me. I'm not saying he is garbage. I'm just saying, this year, there are better cappers record wise.

If a capper or tout has made you a lot of money.. you'll have nothing but good things to say about them.. if a capper or tout lost you money.. you'll have something negative to say.. or in other words.. if a capper lost you money you'll come out and say something gay like "Ness is a joke - you must be a soldier boy for his outfit. Nice try."

I don't follow Larry Ness on every single play he releases.. nor do I follow any single capper for every place they release.. if I don't like the pick myself.. I'm not going to bet it because someone told me too.. I usually will play his 20* or higher players, some oddsmaker error plays, and some wipeout plays..
